Netzer Precision Motion Sensors designs, manufactures and supplies high quality position encoders based on a proprietary technology, invented by Mr. Yishay Netzer. The company was established in 1998.

Yishay Netzer, Founder

Yishay Netzer (MSc. EE), inventor of Electric Encoder™ technology, is at home in a wide range of disciplines related to sensing, measurement, and technology in general. He has published many technical articles and has more than 20 registered and pending patents. Mr. Netzer’s interests beside science and technology include linguistics and Biblical archaeology.

Mr. Netzer is a descendent of a Jewish family, the major part of which was murdered in Europe by the Nazis and their collaborators. The few that managed to escape in time made their way to the family’s historical homeland and participated in its rebuilding (hence the surname Netzer, meaning: a new branch of a felled tree).
