Linear Encoders

Our Linear Electric Encoders based on either of three different topologies:

  • Type A - active scale and an active read-head
    Output data – absolute or incremental position
    Output format – either Sine/Cosine analog, digital Biss or incremental A-quad-B
  • Type C - active scale and a passive (cable-free) “read-head”
    Output data – absolute or incremental position
    Output format – either Sine/Cosine analog , digital Biss or incremental A-quad-B
  • Type M - passive scale with active read-head
    Output data – incremental position only
    Output format – either Sine/Cosine analog or digital A-quad-B with index markers and limit switches

Main features – all types:

  • Measurement length to 1.6m with micron resolution
  • Tolerance to air-gap variations
  • Tolerance to condensation and contaminants
  • Wide temperature operation range
  • Insensitivity to magnetic fields
  • No magnetic signature
  • Tolerance to EMI, RFI
